How do you clean a gravel driveway?
When a gravel drive is being cleaned, it is important to ensure the dirt is clean, as the soil can be a poor medium for bacteria.
We are also going to clean the driveway to remove any contaminants which may have been introduced by previous occupants.
We also need to clean up the gravel after it is thoroughly dried out.
The gravel driveway will be washed and rinsed using the same process as for the other surfaces on the house.
The gravel driveway should be left in the sun for at least two hours, or preferably longer.
If it is left in a wet environment, you can let it sit for a couple of days before washing it.
The aim is to remove as much of the dust as possible before drying the driveway.
You can use a toothbrush, a brush, or a rotary scraper to remove the dirt from the gravel driveway.
It is important not to use abrasive or abrasive-based cleaners as this can remove the bacteria.
You will need to use a rotatable scraper as it is quite difficult to get the dirt off with a scraper.
After cleaning the gravel, we are going to take it to a professional.
The professional will inspect the driveway and determine if there are any problems.
If so, the professional will remove the driveway from the house and replace it with a new gravel driveway, or replace it completely.
The new gravel must be dry before it is installed.
