How to turn your driveway into a dust-free, gravel-free space

If you’ve ever wondered how to make your driveway dust-less and gravel-filled, here’s what you need to know.

1.

Use sandpaper or an old-fashioned sandblasting brush to scrub the driveway surface.

2.

Use a vacuum cleaner, dust mop or a damp sponge to remove any dust and debris that could cause road hazard.

3.

Install a small dust collector in your driveway, and add a small amount of gravel to the mix.

4.

Remove all the old road grime.

5.

Use dust bags and a vacuum to remove dirt and debris.

6.

Replace all road debris with gravel.

7.

Clean out the driveway by spraying it with an old rag or a sponge soaked in water, or by blowing the water out of the air.

8.

Add a small gravel pile to the driveway to hold up the gravel and prevent the dust from collecting.

9.

Keep the gravel pile dry by placing a layer of dirt over it. 10.

Fill the gravel into the gravel hole and bury it in the gravel.

11.

Clean the gravel by spraying the dust collector.

12.

Re-install the road debris by spraying a new layer of gravel.

If you use gravel to fill a driveway, use the same method for dust collection.

You may need to use a small sponge or a brush to clean the gravel when you get home.
