The world’s first battery-free smartphone could be here in 2018

Posted February 09, 2018 10:22:53A year from now, we may well be talking about a new breed of battery-less smartphone, one that uses the battery as a power source and uses it to run apps and services instead of relying on the phone to do it.

The new smartphone, called the Batteraid, is the brainchild of Finnish company Lithium Battery, and its creators are working to get it into the hands of users in 2018.
